Today we’re announcing a specific RAG (Raising and Giving) Fundraiser to support local causes during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has impacted everyone’s daily lives.
We have set an initial fundraising target of £1,000 through a crowdfunding page to support three local causes suggested by students, including NHS staff at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth Food Bank (Jubilee Storehouse) and New Pathways.
It is important to recognise during what is a difficult period, that the current situation will have impacted individuals in different ways, meaning not all will be able to contribute.
However we want to encourage everyone that can support the fundraiser to do so particularly student groups and volunteers. We know that many end of year events were cancelled as a result of the current crisis, and hope that by encouraging students to come up with their own activities and events to raise money, we can help bring students together during what is an isolating period.
