As the first half of the 23/24 season comes to an end, we look back on an exciting term of events, entering 26 teams across 14 different sports.?

With 35 wins this term, teams are in high spirits going into the rest of the year.

We spoke to three of our most successful teams this term. Women’s Netball 1st, Men’s Badminton 1st and Women’s Volleyball 1st.

Netball Women’s 1st have had an astounding first semester, winning 5 of the total games played. Here’s what they had to say about the season thus far:? “There’s a real buzz in the club this season and we had over 100 girls trailing back in September. The girls are training hard and are really enjoying their netball. We’ve had a great first half and are determined to keep the momentum going for the rest of the season.”

Men’s 1st team Badminton have remained a dominant force in the Aberystwyth sports scene with 4 wins of their 5 games. We spoke to their Men’s Captain to find out more: “It's nice to see we can still dominate this division despite losing some good players to graduation. I think the foundations for extra training we laid last year paid off. Our next target is to give the teams in the division above a good fight!”

This semester Women's Volleyball have been a dominant force winning all of their matches played. We caught up with their Women's Captain too discuss this: “The women’s team have done extremely well so far by winning all but one game this year. We have had some great new players join the club and have been training hard and working together which has paid off. I am looking forward to seeing what the new year brings and hope to continue our winning streak.”

We look forward to seeing what our teams can do going into term 2 and beyond!
