Something that we do at Undeb Aber is RAG which stands for Raising and Giving. It is our chance to give back to the community and help them.
Over the summer, us at Undeb Aber took the time to choose our RAG charity of the year. We wanted to represent a charity that helps our students, which is why we had our students give the final say.
We took student suggestions during the month of August and once we had submissions, our officer team chose a ‘top four’ of charities that we personally wanted to donate to whilst also considering the wants of our students.
Our ‘top four’ were then presented to our students at our Freshers Fair. They were given a counter voting system, putting counters in the box that represented the charity they chose. And our students chose New Pathways as the winner!
New Pathways are a charity that provide specialist support for adults, children and young people who have been affected by rape, sexual assault or abuse.
We are honoured to help this charity as the work they do is something we are proud to support.
