The History Society is a group of like minded students with a desire to get the most out of their time at university. It is a diverse group that welcomes everyone, no matter what degree you are studying. Throughout the year we go on multiple trips which can vary from museums to castles and we hold fun and creative socials with themes and lots of laughs. So if you like old things and fancy a good time come along.

The History Society is dedicated to the inclusion and acceptance of all members regardless of age, race, ethnicity, ability, culture or nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religious affiliation, socioeconomic status, and marital status.

Trips

We offer you the opportunity to make the most out of your university experience. Throughout the year we run a large number of academic trips to historic sites. Allowing you to explore wales a bit more and enjoy your time with the society and the friends you'll make there. 

Socials

Every week we have socials (These will be organised each week and posted on social media so keep an eye out!) with a wide variety of themes including Challanges, Dressing up and non-drinking socials throughout the year for everyone that just wants to meet new people. These are great nights out and a chance to make many friends while enjoying your time here in Aberystwyth.
