Aberystwyth Community of Gamers (ACOG) is one of the biggest societies in Aberystwyth. We hold weekly in-person and weekly online gaming events, and at least two large LAN events. Come join the fun!

Welcome to Aberystwyth’s Community of Gaming, aka ACOG. We are Aber’s longest running gaming society (est. 2010). Our goal is to create a space where people of all backgrounds, interests and ability can come together to game socially and competitively. We aim to have something for everyone.

Our Plan for 25/26

Every Monday we meet at the SU for in-person gaming socials and every Sunday we have online gaming sessions.

Each month, on a Tuesday night, we go on a night out as a group in the town.

One social a month will be COG - the championship of gaming. Each month we will host a tournament with a different game. Taking part in the tournament earns you points, and the better you do, the more points you earn. The winner of the tournament becomes the COG of the month. Then at the end of the year all the points will be tallied up, awards handed out, and the COG of the year announced.

We aim to run LAN events each semester to raise money for charity.

Another exciting event will be run in collaboration with Bangor Gaming League (BUGL). We will be competing in a varsity event in 2026.
