Aberystwyth Combat Sambo is open to students of all experience levels — whether you’ve never trained before or you’re already experienced in martial arts.
And it’s not just Combat Sambo. We also train Sport Sambo, with opportunities to test your skills competitively, plus Beach Sambo when the Welsh weather decides to cooperate! 🌊☀️
One of the best parts? We regularly train alongside the Welsh National Sambo Squad, giving our members the chance to train with some of the best sambo athletes in Wales and push themselves in a friendly, supportive environment.

Sambo is a martial art and sport with origins in the Soviet Union and strong historical associations with Russia. Our practice of the sport does not constitute support for, endorsement of, or affiliation with the Russian government or its actions. We condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the ongoing violence and suffering caused by the war, and we stand firmly against aggression, hatred, and discrimination. Our society is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone.
