Our meteorite stall (Right) definitely not about eating grass!

During British science week 2023, our society was invited to host multiple exiting stands to showcase our love of physics to school children. Following from our Ellan Valley trip, we decided to use Lukes meteorites in another meteorite stand, where we let 1000 school children hold pieces of meteorites and the moon! We also printed posters showcasing the dates of yearly meteor showers, so the children could try to look for some meteors themselves.

During this event, we were also asked to host our university's Planetarium, in which we played pre recorded shows which our university produced. One of the best recieved was a showing of a total solar eclipse, captured by members of our physics department in Argentina. This show was very immsersive, and at totality it plunged the planetarium dome into darkness. Which needless to say, was loved by the children!
