Mars opposition

Mars reaches opposition on the 9th december 2022. This is when the planet makes its closest approach to the earth and thus this is the best time to see and image the planet. We will meet outside the SU concrete steps and make our way into a field nearby. Once here we will set up for observing mars. Feel free to bring your own equipment. Bring a coat as it is likely to be cold and damp, maybe even a towel if you can.
